Hi - you can use SSML prosody tags in the text to control the speed.
This will not work with all voices though - so you may need to experiment. Here's an example -
You surround your text with the brackets as you see below - and it will speak slower.
<prosody rate="slow"> hello there 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 </prosody>
For more fine tuned control, use the following syntax (supported by a further subset of voices)
<prosody rate="-10%"> hello there 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9</prosody>
As noted - only a subset of the voices will respond. Supported voices include -

Hi Annie - Got it - I understand exactly what you are doing. So at the moment there is no space limit, but we will introduce such a limit at some point soon, that will prevent you from accumulating more than a handful of Scenes. The best solution is to purchase a paid account, where this functionality will not be limited. At $29 a year you will be all set. Hope this makes sense.
Cross using voki creations and presentations between accounts
how can I use the voki presentations I created in the free version in my paid subscription. They act like two completely different accounts. Please provide me stepby step directions if it is possible. I have tried a lot of different things. Bu

What you need to do is login to your account, goto "my Account" page, and disable automatic billing.
With auto-billing disabled you will no longer be charged and your account will expire in due course.

Beware of Voki signups! Please cancel my subscription!
When you use the credit card, it remains and charges you for continuous subscription long after initial use. Cancellation process is not user friendly, if at all in place! Please cancel my subscription immediately!
When you sign up for Premium Voki, you are asked for a credit card for automated billing.which you can cancel anytime. If you do not cancel, we have no way of guessing that you want your subscription stopped.
Cancelling auto-billing is simple.
- Login to your account
- goto the my Account page
- disable automatic billing.
or - write a note to support@voki.com and we will take care of it for you.
No reason is required, and we do not make it difficult for anyone to discontinue.
Why you got that impression is unclear - but I'll be happy to know more about it.

Why won't my Voki Avatar speak
I am using the free Basic Trial version of Voki to make a presentation for college. My Avatar will not talk. It states type to speech, apparently that feature does not work.
All my Voki's stopped playing, as of today.
Is there a problem with the website? When I click "Play" the circle just spins and spins like it's loading but then nothing happens. For embedded Voki's, the orange line keeps loading but nothing happens. I have several Voki's in my online courses, so I really do need them to work! Any suggestions?
