HTML5 and Javascript

Any news or plans to upgrade voki to use JavaScript or some other web technology? Flash is pretty much at end of life.

Hi Jeff -

A quick update -

Created characters play in HTML5 (for over two years now) - it is only the editor that is still in Flash.

And users on mobile devices can use our mobile app for editing ( available for iOS and Android )

As for the Voki editor - an HTMl5 version is in the works and will replace the current Flash editor soon.

Most likely before the start of the upcoming school year.

Best regards,

Gil

Audio Loop

S.G. 3 weeks ago in Voki FAQs • updated 3 weeks ago 2

I'm using a free version of the creator for my classes. In the latest, my audio automatically loops, clipping off the last word in the speech-to-text feature. I've used Voki for a couple of years, but I've never had this problem.

Any ideas?

I guess I did not read the fine print

I guess I did not read the fine print or perhaps bought the wrong plan, but why is the Voki Logo still appearing in my published work? I thought it was supposed to be "ad free".

Hello -

We do not display ads to our paying subscribers and their students.

We do display our Voki logo with pride, and we do not consider it to be an 'ad' - though I can see how one might disagree. Many paid products display the creator's logo, both online and offline. From vehicles to sneakers to software products - this is not unusual.

We offer a non-labeled & white labeled version of our speaking characters under our SitePal product which is intended for business use.  Please check it out at - www.sitepal.com

Best,

Gil

I do not believe displaying that big 'ole honking voki logo in my presentation is "a free". Please advise on how to remove it if it can be removed at all. If not, no problem... I'll just cancel and consider it a lesson learned..
