no difference in recording time after upgrade
So, I upgraded to the classroom but I still can't record longer than 60 seconds and the site is still full of ads! Is this because I'm in the trial period?

You have to log into Voki Classroom (https://voki.com/classroom/login_stat...?) in order to have 90 seconds of audio and no ads.
