There's a box which begins a list of descriptions to the right, but it won't let me click on the first option there either.

Please try to install : http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/
Reboot the machine and then try.

and restarted my computer with no change in the results.

Please try with any different browser, Also check flash player is enabled from Add on option : www.chrome://extensions
